I work with all of you: your body, mind and brain together. I’m looking to improve how you move, think, and feel, to improve the quality of your life.

I teach skills of awareness, reduction of excess effort and interoception. (The ability to feel yourself from the inside-out).

You’ll rediscover easier balance, more flexibility, and refine your skills.

The way I work is gentle, but profound.

With practice, you’ll become more aware of your movement patterns and thinking habits.

We all have brains with the ability to be plastic. We can all learn, improve and change throughout the length of our lives.

experience how doing less can get you more

Become the performer your audience is waiting for.

Improve your Stage presence:  Are you a performer, or you need to be on stage? Presence can be learnt from the inside out.  I can teach you, no matter how old you are, to become more home in yourself, and more comfortable on stage in front of others.

Reduce anxiety: Fear of judgement, fear of mistakes, levels of self-worth, self-image are all areas that we can work on together to reduce your anxiety, on or off stage.

Refine your skills: Work with me to find more ease in your playing or singing techniques, and greater artistic freedom.

As a professional performing musician myself, I am uniquely placed to understand your needs, as well as the stresses of touring,  or performing at a high level.

These science based principles work for all genres, instrumentalists or singers.

I have worked with jazz, classical and pop singers, orchestral and chamber musicians, concert pianists, folk and pop artists, even British Army bands.

Everything we do is accompanied by a movement, thought, sensation and emotion. That’s neurological fact. Everything we think and do has an emotional hue, whether we are aware of it or not.

There is room for all of you here.

By improving your awareness of how you feel, think and move, you can improve your self-image, your relationship to yourself, and your relationships to others.

Working together can help you reduce anxiety, and learn to feel safe in your own body.

You’ll learn to build confidence from the inside out. Science-based learning strategies to cope with the stresses and strains of daily life.

I have successfully worked with people of all ages who have suffered trauma either in childhood or later in life, or who are feeling a little overwhelmed with life right now.

We will work within the physical realm of movement, to learn which habits of holding and moving are holding you back.  We concentrate on releasing physical holding patterns of difficult emotions, and discovering new easier ways of moving through life.

In attending, moving and listening to yourself, you learn better self-care, and the ability to feel at home in your skin.
In learning to attend to ourselves in this mindful way, we grow the tools of resilience, and more able to deal with the challenges life throws at us.

Many people come to me

  • Reduce pain and tension
  • Change your movement patterns, and improve your posture, whatever you’re doing.
  • Stage Presence
  • .
  • Learn to include more of your whole self, and to feel what you are doing that’s not helping you.
  • Develop better ways of moving and thinking that can allow you to do what you want, with ease.

I also specialise in working with children: with and without special needs.

I have been teaching children for over twenty years in the classroom,  and

I bring my musical abilities into our learning environment to create a sense of safety and communication, no matter how old.

As someone who spent much of their childhood in hospitals and on the operating table; and grew up with a sister who has Downs Syndrome, I am comfortable in most situations with children of all ranges of learning abilities and ages.

Do get in touch if you would like to see if we would be a good fit to work together with your child.

My Story

I discovered a new way to think and move at a music course. We lay on the floor, made small movements, and were told to pay attention to different areas of ourselves, and to use less and less effort. I walked out afterwards with legs that felt like someone else’s! Pretty important for me, I’d spent my childhood in and out of wheelchairs.

I’m a professional classical musician, and like most of us, I had experienced pain and discomfort during playing. What I noticed when I after I had been practicing this innovative neuro-adaptive method for a while was that I no longer had pain when I was performing.  And I was on tour for half the year, playing large amounts of concerts.

We’d have 2 week tours abroad, and concerts most nights.  I finished concerts ready for more, rather than dead on the floor.  It was easier to find my voice, my expression than ever before, and feel like each concert I had been able to successfully portray my musical self in a way I enjoyed.
